To protect Mother Earth, boost biodiversity, and offset carbon emissions, Aster Volunteers UAE held its 3rd mega tree plantation drive in Ras Al Khaimah, in collaboration with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and One Hive, under the Aster Green Choices Initiative. Over 300 volunteers planted 1,000 Samar saplings, adding to the 1,500 trees planted over the last 2 years. This shall have an impact of reducing 100 KgCo2e emissions annually over a period of time. The event was graced by HE Engr. Sheikh Salim Bin Sultan Bin Saqir Al Qasimi and Ms. Habiba Al Marashi along with Aster’s Senior Management Team. After the activity, volunteers enjoyed a barbecue party and received appreciation certificates for their role in the success of the Heart2Heart Cares 2024 program.
