A persistent problem faced by the medical community is the reliable availability of safe blood at the hour of need. And to help do our part for this cause, this World Blood Donor Day, Aster Volunteers organised the Drops of Hope blood drive. Volunteers both from outside and from within our organisation from our various units like Aster Prime, Hyderabad; Aster Aadhar Hospital, Ramesh Hospitals, Aster Medcity and Aster Sanad Hospital, all turned up and did their bit to help save a life by donating blood. Aster MIMS, Kottakkal, held a ceremony to felicitate the blood donors in Kerala and to inspire others to come forward and register as donors. More than a thousand critical patients will get a second chance at life, because of the humanity of the 500+ donors who participated in the various blood drives organised by Aster Volunteers.
Beirut, Lebanon is currently suffering the aftermath of two explosions that took place in August 2020. Our volunteers came together to Stand with Lebanon and pack medical relief kits. Kits worth over 2 million with medicines and consumables were prepared and sent to Lebanon via IHC Dubai and the Ministry of Health UAE. We are grateful to the volunteers and the contributors who made this possible.
