National cleanliness drive conducted in India.
My India Healthy India 1.0, was a mission driven by our chairman Dr. Moopen, who on the 70th anniversary of Indian independence was inspired to do something more, something special, other than merely hoisting a flag.
And that something special was to undertake an awareness drive about the health risks posed by unclean neighborhoods. But that’s not all, Aster Volunteers participated in the actual cleaning up of many locations across Bangalore, Hyderabad and many more.
Aster Volunteers organised the 2nd installment of this country-wide cleanliness drive, My India, Happy India 2.0, to commemorate 71 years of our great nation’s independence.
On August 15th, 2018, 8 locations - Kochi, Kozhikode, Kottakkal, Hyderaybad, Bengaluru, Kolhapur, Vijayawada, and Wayanad, all saw over 1,000 Aster Volunteers come together to take up the challenging work of cleaning up their part of India.
They undertook various cleaning and sanitation activities under the umbrella ‘My India Healthy India’. This will be a recurring event, conducted in partnership with external NGOs and volunteers.
Many communities around the world do not have access to healthcare. This has become especially difficult during the Covid-19 situation. Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services strives to bring medical services like temperature screening, medicines, and check-ups to these communities. 16,184 people were positively impacted by this initiative across 5 countries.
We're conducting a series of Facebook live sessions to help people cope with the current COVID 19 pandemic. These sessions are hosted by expert doctors from Aster hospitals. Log on to facebook.com/AsterVolunteers to know more.
As part of the Green Choices Initiative, Aster Volunteers has organised a campaign for safe disposal of e-waste. As the global volume of e-waste increases, it is our responsibility to safely discard and/or recycle it. People can drop off their e-waste in collection boxes present at various Aster Units. This is one step towards ensuring a cleaner environment.
Aster Homes will help rehabilitate or rebuild homes that were wholly or partially affected by the Kerala floods. We need volunteers to help execute this project. Join Aster Volunteers.
Beirut, Lebanon is currently suffering the aftermath of two explosions that took place in August 2020. Our volunteers came together to Stand with Lebanon and pack medical relief kits. Kits worth over 2 million with medicines and consumables were prepared and sent to Lebanon via IHC Dubai and the Ministry of Health UAE. We are grateful to the volunteers and the contributors who made this possible.
